We are now seeing the signs of the unravelling of UMNO. They are panicking and doing unbelievably stupid things, acts that we have not had the pleasure of seeing before over such a wide spectrum of the UMNO leadership. Just like the Soviet Union, UMNO/BN will self-implode.

Tajuddin gets slammed for Chinese press remarks

The Gerakan Youth today rapped Pasir Salak MP Tajuddin Abdul Rahman for saying that the Chinese press were "opposition supporters".

The movement's vice-chief Liang Teck Meng described Tajuddin's remarks as "unfair", "rude and "unprofessional".

"The Pasir Salak MP as an experienced politician should maintain his calm and react in a professional manner when approached by reporters who were only seeking some clarification," said Liang.

Liang, who is also Simpang Renggam MP, said Tajuddin's (left) outburst was uncalled for because Chinese press has been professional and responsible in carrying out its duties.

"They are just reporting what was being said by both parties, hence providing both sides of the story. Sometimes, their reports can be very critical but there is nothing wrong with that," he added. Malaysiakini. Subscription required. (http://malaysiakini.com/news/128795)
