Now this explains why LKY is so paranoid about about PAS taking over Malaysia. He prefers UMNO as he can squeeze their gonads since he has so much dirt on them. And that's how the little red dot won our Johor island so easily. UMNO gave it away by throwing the game.

The Malaysia-Singapore ‘cold war’

I never dreamt that Dr Mahathir would choose Najib considering he is so pantang about Singapore and would never accept as prime minister someone whom Singapore can squeeze by the balls -- especially when this someone can be blackmailed about a very secret and sensitive meeting with a woman in the Oriental Hotel in Marina Square who is later found murdered.

Surely Dr Mahathir can’t agree to Najib giving in to Singapore’s demands like what is currently happening. Are we going to see Dr Mahathir going berserk like back in 2006 with all these concessions Najib is granting Singapore?

THE CORRIDORS OF POWER

Raja Petra Kamarudin

An old acquaintance of mine who was once quite senior in the Fisheries Department related this story, which he said stunned everybody in the room. The occasion was a briefing session and the man who was the target of the briefing was Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, the then Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia.

This government officer who was conducting the briefing tried to impress Dr Mahathir on what they were doing. He went into great detail talking about their plans and strategies and how things are going to improve once these plans and strategies are in place. And he concluded by assuring Dr Mahathir that it will work because this is exactly what Singapore is doing.

Dr Mahathir gave the briefing officer a long and hard stare and said, “Please never mention Singapore in front of me again. Don’t you know we are at war with Singapore?” More… (http://mt.m2day.org/2008/content/view/22273/84/)

Expect very close co-operation between KL & Sg now that Sg has got their poodle Putrajaya. Just a hint about a Mongolian photo is enough. Having said that, a 3rd bridge is economically sound.

Bridge in the east or wider Causeway?

SINGAPORE, May 23 — Singapore and Malaysia are looking at fresh ideas to help improve the flow of goods and people, such as expanding the Causeway or building a new bridge on the eastern side of Johor.

Both Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and his Malaysian counterpart Datuk Seri Najib Razak agreed there was a need to cater for the increasing flow of people and traffic between their countries — even as they acknowledged difficulties when talk of replacing the Causeway was previously mooted.

Yesterday, Najib broached the idea of a new bridge linking the eastern side of both countries. More… (http://www.themalaysianinsider.com/index.php/malaysia/27401-bridge-in-the-east-or-wider-causeway)

Foreign ministers to take Points of Agreement forward

SINGAPORE, May 23 — The foreign ministers of Singapore and Malaysia will look into ways to resolve the impasse over the Points of Agreement (POA) and implement the document, signed almost two decades ago.

It sets out, among other things, the terms of development and status of Malayan Railway land in Singapore. But its implementation has been stalled since it was signed in November 1990 and it is one of the longest-running bilateral issues.

Prime Ministers Lee Hsien Loong and Datuk Seri Najib Razak noted this yesterday and agreed that a resolution was overdue.

“The Points of Agreement is one of the legacy issues which we have both inherited and, as you know, it's a very old issue,” Lee said at their press conference.

“It started more than 18 years ago and it is not something which should drag on because we do not want outstanding legacy issues to affect our core relationship.

“So we agreed that the foreign ministers would meet, would look at the implementation of the POA, and we look forward to then discussing this and making progress to resolve the matter.” More… (http://www.themalaysianinsider.com/index.php/malaysia/27402-foreign-ministers-to-take-points-of-agreement-forward)
