    Some cryptic words from Badawi.

"At some point I will have to hand over to my successor," he added.

He said that he hoped the person who will take over from him would be Najib.

"I hope it is Najib. Why do I say hope? Najib has to stand for Umno elections first. Once he wins the elections and becomes party president then we will discuss it (the transition)," he said.

Met the guy, Zorro, I mean. Wouldn't want to cross him. I feel sorry for Najib. Has anyone noticed that his hair has turned white over the past 2 or 3 years?

YEP.....from a most unhlikely source, I have been reliably informed.....straight from the Steppes of Inner Mongolia comes this conversation. I was also reliably informed that this was sent to Malaysia Today as a sequel to the letter sent by Altantuya's father. Read on

The following text message correspondence is between YAB Dato' Sri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak, Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, and Dato' Shafee Abdullah, a Malaysian lawyer who initially represented Abdul Razak Abdullah Baginda who is on trial for abeting the murder of Mongolian national, Altantuya Shaariibuu.

The ring is tightening around the key players in this merry-go-round. Wonder who will be the first one to drop out.

Cocktail of sleaze allegations poses threat to political stability.

OCT 14 - No one can say Malaysian politics lacks lurid stories. The grisly killing of a Mongolian model, links between that murder and the man tipped as Malaysia's next prime minister, fresh accusations that former deputy premier Anwar Ibrahim is a sodomite and sedition charges against a popular online editor are among the big issues in the press in Malaysia over recent days.

That is to say nothing of the decision by the prime minister, Abdullah Badawi, not to run in the next election as a way of averting an uprising against him within the ranks of his own United Malays National Organisation party, which forms the core of the National Front coalition that has ruled Malaysia since it became independent in 1957.

All the stories are technically separate, but connected in a thickening web of sleaze.

Najib, the time for dodging is past. You have to come clean now. With information readily available through the internet, you cannot hope to continue to sweep problems under the carpet.

If you aspire to be PM, you have to clear them (questions & allegations) up. Just because the UMNO warlords elect you to be President in the hope that happy days will be here again, does not mean that the people will accept you as PM.

Neither will they accept a swearing on the Koran. If it was that simple, there will be no need for courts and judges. Just stick a holy book under the greasy palm of the accused, mumble a few words and everything is solved.

    Questions:
How did the immigration records of Altantuya's entry to Malaysia disappear?
How can 2 policemen from your security unit get involved?
Why is their commander, who is your personal aide, not called to testify?
Why are you, who is very close to one of the accused, Razak Baginda, not called to testify?
    Where is Bala?

On the surface, it appears that you may have some involvement. For the sake of the nation, you should go to court to clear the air. We need a leader with integrity to steer us through the financial crisis racking the world.

Now, we have the sms allegations below.

Najib, you cannot hope to be PM with all these stuff hanging over your head.

Najib, take a look in the mirror. See how your hair has turned white over the past couple of years. These stuff is killing you. You can lie to the public. But you can't lie to yourself.

Get a fresh start. Go to court to clear your name. And while you are at it, please release RPK from Kamunting.

    SMS poser begs an answer

    COMMENTARY

OCT 14 - No one has answered the million ringgit question yet: is the SMS exchange on the Altantuya murder case between Datuk Seri Najib Razak and a prominent lawyer authentic?

If it is not, then it should be put down as yet another move by critics of the government to discredit the man slated to be the next prime minister of Malaysia; dismissed as another desperate attempt to implicate Najib in
    the murder of Altantuya Shaariibuu.

Probe could be painful. Najib may need to consult with Saiful. BTW, where's that clown? He seems to have disappeared from the radar screen after the Permatang Pauh by-election.

    Anwar wants probe on Najib
    By Shannon Teoh

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 14 — Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has called for investigations into the alleged abuse of power by Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

The deputy prime minister is facing renewed links to the murder of Mongolian beauty Altantuya Shaariibuu.

Malaysia Today carried a report detailing what it alleged was an exchange of text messages between Najib and Datuk Shafee Abdullah, the prominent lawyer who represented Abdul Razak Baginda, the close associate of Najib who was eventually charged with abetting two police officers in the murder of Altantuya in 2006.

In one SMS, Najib allegedly tells the lawyer that Razak — his advisor — “will face a tentative charge but all is not lost”.

Hmmm, for a lesser offence, Anwar was jailed for 6 years for abuse of power.

    The present case involves murder.

Day by day, more and more stuff is floating up. One would have thought that there was a conspiracy to take out Najib. Hmmm. Wonder who is it?

    Letter questions 'shady' chopper deal
    Oct 14, 08 2:20pm

Another scandal appears to be hovering over the Defence Ministry and this time it concerns the purchase of helicopters to replace the armed forces' aging and accident-prone fleet of Nuri aircraft.

The issue was highlighted in two letters last week - dated Oct 7 and 9 respectively - addressed to former defence minister Najib Abdul Razak, who is also deputy prime minister and finance minister.

Re: IS NAJIB FIT TO BE PM?

The amount of processed hay that is piling up on Najib is forming a mountain by now. I wonder how long before he breaks. Don't write off Badawi so fast. He may be a bit slow but when he reacts, it can be quite potent. In this particular case, we really don't know where it is coming from. Unfortunately we cannot refer to RPK. He is indisposed in Kamunting.

Okay, lets forget Altantuya but what about this Najib?
    14 10 2008

“Whatever the opposition said is not true,” he said dismissively. “We will give you the facts later.” (Najib Tun Razak, Malaysian Insider)

What a shady deal. So shady, we don’t need sun shades. Many pro-Mahathir-Najib supporters who ran all over town in hysteria over Abdullah Ahmad Badawi’s Turkish toy, seem awfully and painfully silent over Najib’s Euro toy. Hmmm…
