To fill in the form, you will need to access your voter info here: http://daftarj.spr.gov.my/

Once you have filled it out, (remember to write your name in CAPITAL LETTERS), email it back to SPR atupup@spr.gov.my
SPR will send you an email acknowledging receipt of your form.
BUT, SPR will not tell you whether they accept / reject your application UNTIL the Day the Candidates are Named, or "Hari Penamaan Calon".

To qualify as a Postal voter, you must meet certain criteria:
a) Malaysian citizen

b) Registered voter

c) Live overseas except in Singapore, South Thailand, Brunei and Kalimantan Indonesia
d) Must have been in Malaysia or returned to Malaysia, not less than 30 days in a period of 5 years, before the date of the dissolution of Parliament or Legislative Assembly in force
(this 30 days is accumulative over the span of five years starting from 28 April 200

IF YOU ARE HAVING TROUBLE CALCULATING BORANG 1B's REQUIREMENT OF 30 DAYS / 5 YEARS
(28 April 2008 onwards) FROM YOUR PASSPORT,
Here are some tips:

1.Look for past flight itineraries, hard copy or old emails.

2.If searching for dates in the Malaysian passport, you will not find any entry/departure stamp from the Malaysian Immigration because of the microchip system,. As such, you will have to refer to the overseas country stamps of arrival / departure.

Example A:

Flew from NZ to Malaysia on 1/1, then left Malaysia for NZ on 15/1.
Therefore: NZ 1/1 departure date stamp to NZ arrival date stamp 15/1 = 14 days

Example B:
Flew from NZ to Malaysia on 1/1. Then Malaysia to Hong Kong on 20/1.
From Hong Kong back to Malaysia on 31/1. And finally from Malaysia back to NZ on 15/2.
Therefore:
(NZ departure date 1/1 to HK arrival date 20/1=19 days) +
(HK departure date 31/1 to NZ arrival date 15/2= 15 days) = TOTAL 34 days
