TASTY AND GREEN: Edible plates steal the show at innovation expo
IPOH: NOW after every meal, you can eat the plate too. The edible tapioca plate is one of the many innovative products being featured at the state level Malaysia Innovation Agency (AIM) Innovating Malaysia Tour 2012, which started here yesterday.
Excellent Icon Sdn Bhd, a company based here, manufactures the biodegradable plates.
Company director R. Sathiyamoorthy said there was positive response to his product since marketing began in August last year.
"We are receiving strong demand for the tapioca plates, cups and bowls. At present, our manufacturing capacity caters only to wholesale and bulk purchases. However, we hope to set up an outlet to sell the products directly," he said at his booth
